Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD release date: Wolf Link amiibo usable in 'Super Mario Maker?'

"The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD" will be released on March 4. Apart from this good news, there is also something else that would excite "Zelda" fans: the probable support for one character's amiibo in "Super Mario Maker."

A short video was stumbled upon recently on Nintendo's YouTube channel and, somehow, it might be connected to the Wolf Link amiibo, which was included in the physical copy of "Twilight Princess." It is Mario in the "Super Mario Maker" -- in a Wolf Link costume.

The video is less than a minute long and it shows the environment of the "Super Mario Maker." Right after Mario gets a Power-up Mushroom, he transforms into Wolf Link with Midna on top, instead of just being Super Mario.

IGN reported that Wolf Link and Midna will be coming over to the game creation system, but both costumes will be available for the Japanese market. Nintendo hasn't responded yet if players in the West will be able to get their hands on them.

So those who bought the physical copy of "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD" that includes the Wolf Link amiibo figurine will be glad to know that there could be another use for it in the future.

The "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD" is a remake of the 2006 game with the same title and is now being offered in a higher resolution and with several gameplay changes.

In other amiibo news, Design and Trend reported that Amazon has amiibo deals that might interest those collecting these Nintendo figurines. "Animal Crossing" series 3-Pack amiibo is offered for $ 19.09 instead of $34.99, and the "Splatoon" 3-pack amiibo is available for $20.18 instead of $34.99. A Mario Classic Color figurine is for $11.60 while the 30th Anniversary Super Mario Bros figurine is down to $14.70 from almost $ 51. Lucas and Pink Yarn are also available.

For amiibo, Pokemon and Wii U fans, GameStop is said to be restocking Pokemon amiibo figurines. This is in connection to "Pokemon Sun and Moon" that was announced, according to another report by Design and Trend.
