"The Sims 4," the latest installment in the highly popular life simulation video game series from developers Maxis and The Sims Studio, will be having a new expansion pack. Called "City Living," it is the third expansion for the title and is now available to explore and enjoy.

"Less than 24hrs to go until #TS4CityLiving!" reads the post on The Sims Twitter page, published on Oct. 31, before the DLC went live.

"City Living" features a new city called San MyShuno, a coastal city with mountains nearby. It includes bustling neighborhoods where the gamers' playable characters can venture into new places like the Waterside Warble Karaoke Bar and The Spice Market. There are also outdoor spaces, entertainment places, and basketball courts for having a great workout or for competing against other Sims. Moreover, there are five festivals that gamers can look forward to, namely the Flea Market Festival, Romance Festival, the Humor, and Hijinks Festival, the Spice Festival, and the GeekCon. And with the ingredients available at the Spice Festival, Sims can learn new recipes.

These neighborhoods, called Uptown, Spice Market, Fashion District, and Arts Quarter (plus MyShuno Meadows, which features a park), also include apartments where the Sims will live in when they move to San MyShuno. Players can decorate their spaces with new décor and furniture, but living in these buildings will present a new challenge for gamers, given that these are run by landlords. Landlords, of course, have rules and won't tolerate renovation in their units like knocking down walls. Gamers should also expect to encounter neighbors of different sorts.

There are penthouses, too, but the Sims will have to work their way up in new careers, namely Social Media, Critic, or Politician, to be able to afford one. Still, according to the official website, "Penthouses are going to be the ultimate dream lot for Sims in San Myshuno."

It took almost a year before the third expansion for "The Sims 4" was ready to be launched. The second one called "Get Together" was released in December 2015, and the first, called "Get to Work," was released in April 2015.

The "City Living" expansion pack is now available.
