'The Walking Dead' season 6 news, episode 6 spoilers: Viewers to finally see Negan's camp; Rick and Aaron go on a secret mission

Maggie (Cohan) in "The Walking Dead" season 7 episode 5 promo still AMC

After the intense season opener that killed off two regular cast members — Steven Yeun (Glenn) and Michael Cuditz (Abraham) — AMC's "The Walking Dead" has effectively stripped Rick (Andrew Lincoln) of control over Alexandria and introduced a new safe zone called "The Kingdom," where Carol (Melissa McBride) and Morgan (Lennie James) were able to find refuge.

In episode 5 — called "Go Getters" — the show visited Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin) who made it safely to the Hilltop colony to seek medical attention for the former. But it seems that the folks at Hilltop are also suffering from their own woes with the Saviors.

It also saw Enid (Katelyn Nacon) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) reach the Hilltop where Enid pledges to help Maggie. Meanwhile, Carl has snuck into the Savior's truck to take a crack at ending Negan.

According to reports from Digital Spy, Maggie's stay at the Hilltop could be essential to rallying the colony to stand their ground against the Saviors.

The report cited a difference between Maggie and Rick's leadership approach, which could also spell the difference between victory and defeat against their oppressors. It pointed out Maggie's ability to read people and appeal to their emotions as well as balance out logic with emotions. Compared to Rick, people also tend to trust Maggie more. These traits could prove to be useful in charting a new path for the Hilltop people.

Meanwhile, in the upcoming sixth episode of the season — entitled "Swear" — fans of the show may finally catch a glimpse of a different colony, which is believed to be Negan's camp. The clip also showed both Tara (Alanna Masterson)  with Alexandria survivor Heath (Corey Antonio Hawkin) who are out on a hunting trip.

Another clip showed Rosita (Christian Serratos) making her own plans while Rick and Aaron (Aaron Marquand) team up to go on a secret mission.

Fans who are curious to see what became of The Kingdom will finally see Morgan and Carol having a meeting with Ezekiel's right hand man about what to do with their Savior problem.
