Upcoming open world role playing game "The Witcher 3" is set to be the year's highly anticipated video game titles. Now, it has been confirmed that the game is also going to provide support for modding tools. According to iDigital Times, during a demo event that took place on Thursday, the video game studio, CD Projekt RED's CEO Marcin Iwinski had confirmed that the title will be supporting mods, as well as a toolset like REDkit.

The executive stated:

"Yes, yes, yes we will. There will be an editor. For Witcher 2 we released it quite late. For Witcher 3 it will be faster."

According to Iwinski, he wants the upcoming game to rival that of Bethesda's popular open world role playing game titled "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim."

He continued: "Look at Skyrim, the last patch was like two years after the release. We want to make sure people have a great experience out of the box and I'm sure we're going to deliver that. People are working around the clock to make sure everything works great."

After the release of "The Witcher 2," the previous installment received the REDkit, which happens to be the official modding toolkit for the video game. However, the kit was released two years after the release of the game. Currently, the studio has not provided any details on when the "The Witcher 3" REDkit will be announced, since the game developing squad needs to provide gamers with one of the best possible gaming titles of the year.

In addition, "The Witcher 3" will also be including a DLC that will be comprised of 16 pieces. The perk of purchasing the game will be that gamers will be able to immerse in that additional content for absolutely no charge. The CEO states that gamers who have spent $60 and above on a video game deserve to keep playing it for a very long period.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is expected to be released on April 19, 2015.
