'Timeless' episode 8 spoilers: The Time Team races to stop Flynn from removing the Moon landing from history

The great efforts of the Apollo 11 astronauts will be in danger of being wiped out in the next episode of "Timeless" on NBC.

Based on the trailer for the upcoming episode titled "Space Race," one of the biggest moments in modern American history is about to unfold as the astronauts made their first landing on the moon. But the epic moment is in danger of being wiped out in the memories of mankind as Flynn (Goran Višnjic) plots to remove it from history.

To save the fate of the Apollo 11 astronauts, history professor Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer) must work fast with Master Sergeant Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter) and programmer Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett) to stop Flynn from his plans. But to be able to succeed, the three must work with one of history's unsung heroes to secure the safety of the astronauts and keep the record of their groundbreaking efforts intact.

The episode is slated to air on NBC on Monday, Nov. 28.

Meanwhile, a new report from TVLine revealed that "Mr. Robot" cast member Michael Drayer will appear as a guest star in one of the upcoming episodes of "Timeless." According to the report, Drayer will portray the role of the renowned illusionist Harry Houdini.

The report claims that Drayer's appearance will happen in episode 10 when Lucy and the rest of the time traveling team find their way to Chicago circa 1893. Houdini will reportedly help the team disappear while being chased by their enemies.

Drayer will join actor Joel Johnstone in the said episode that will be aired on Monday, January 16, 2017, right after the series takes a short break for the holidays. Johnstone will portray the role of Dr. Henry Howard Holmes. The character is more popularly known as H.H. Holmes, one of the first documented serial killers in American history.
