The seventh season of "Total Divas" was launched with a bang, as a major announcement was received differently by the stars of the show.
Shane McMahon, SmackDown Live commissioner, announced that he was planning on something big for the women of the wrestling entertainment. "You will compete one more time in the first ever women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match," he revealed.
The announcement was welcomed mostly by the women, though Nattie Neidhart was noticeably not happy with the big news, as seen on the season premiere of "Total Divas." Neidhart shared with Nikki Bella that climbing the ladder and getting the briefcase was no easy feat and added that she had never done anything that extreme in the ring.
Neidhart also asked for help from his dad, Jim, who claimed that he had been in ladder matches as well. Together they went ladder shopping in preparation of the bank ladder match.
As Neidhart expressed her concerns about the upcoming match, Lana seemed, in contrast, excited for a fight. The Russian stunner had been training hard for her match against Naomi, but Rusev, Lana's wrestler boyfriend was making it hard to train properly. Bella encouraged Rusev during a pool party that day to support his girl in her efforts for the fight, an advice which Rusev heeded.
TV Over Mind recently reported that the seventh season of "Total Divas" would include new show comers Carmella, Alexa Bliss, and Nia Jax. And, in the season opener, fans got to meet Jax and Bliss. Carmella is expected to appear in the coming weeks.
Jax and Maryse had an argument as well. As Jax was prepping for a gauntlet match, she coyly asked Maryse if she ever had done the same match. The question was taken in the wrong way by Maryse, and she later explained that she that felt that the new cast member was disrespecting her.
"Total Divas," which showcases some of the women in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), season 7 airs every Wednesday, 9 p.m. EDT at E!
