The follow-up to the 2010 breakaway hit "Tron: Legacy," now has a written and ready script by film director Joseph Kosinski, but production of the third movie still sits in the backburner.

However, Jeff Bridges told Den of Geek, that if the movie was finally to enter the production stage, he wanted Olivia Wilde to reprise her role as Quorra.

In the film, Quorra is the last Isomorphic Algorithm, and Bridge's character, Kevin Flynn has shared with her the knowledge of the outside world. Wilde portrays the role of Bridges digital world daughter that he calls "The Miracle." In the 2010 movie, Quorra is a skilled fighter who has the curiosity of an elementary school kid.

Fans have loved many things about "Tron: Legacy," and on top of that is Quorra, which is also the reason why Bridges wants her back for the role. Seeing Quorra in the third movie set in the world of virtual reality would certainly pull fans back in.

"All those things you mentioned, we talked about. And there's no certainty with any of it, but I'm hoping it comes down. It'd be wild, and you know virtual reality would really lend itself to that medium," explained Bridges to Den of Geek. He then added that Kosinski may have already been talking to Wilde about it.

Kosisnki confirmed in an interview with Coming Soon that the script has already been written for "Tron: Ascension," but filming the movie just was not happening at the moment.

"Tron: Legacy" scored $400 million dollars in its 2010 release which is the reason why fans are wondering why Disney is taking too long to produce the third movie. Both the plot and character storylines were solid and were keeping up to the technology of that time. It was a nod to the 80s original where boys fantasized of being transported to the world of video games.
