Unversal Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey fired verbal jabs on the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather after winning the Best Fighter ESPY at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California last Wednesday.

The 28-year-old won the award over Mayweather, Gennady Golovkin, Terence Crawford, and fellow UFC fighter Donald Cerrone.

Rousey was humbled after receiving the award but said, "I can't help but really say that I wonder how Floyd [Mayweather] feels being beat by a woman for once. I'd like to see you pretend to not know who I am now."

Mayweather has faced legal battles before regarding domestic violence as six charges were filed against him and was jailed for two months in 2012.

Rousey also addressed the issue in which Mayweather said he is unaware of who she is.

In a video that surfaced earlier last year, Mayweather was being interviewed and was asked about Amir Khan.

As the unbeaten 38-year-old is discussing about the British boxer, an interviewer asked Mayweather who Rousey is and he answered, "I have no idea who he is."

The question was asked following UFC president Dana White's comment saying that Rousey would dominate Mayweather if they fight.

Rousey completed her fifth title defense last February submitting Cat Zingano via armbar in just 14 seconds, the fastest finish in UFC title fight history.

The judo specialist who holds an 11-0 record will defend her title again come Aug. 1 against fellow unbeaten fighter Bethe Correia at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Meanwhile, Mayweather is reported to have an opponent for his next and perhaps final bout this September.

Andre Berto, who is the current interim World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion, is believed to be the one taking on Mayweather in his final career fight.

Berto boasts a 30-3 record and has won his last two fights although he has not beaten any significant contender yet in his career.

Mayweather's next fight will be shown free on CBS according to reports, perhaps to compensate for his heavily criticized last fight against Manny Pacquiao due to lack in action.
