Game developer Naught Dog is all set to roll out its co-op multiplayer gameplay on "Uncharted 4." Game fans can witness the new "survival" mode when it gets presented during this year's PlayStation Experience happening next week. It will then be available to enjoy by mid-December.

"Survival is a wave-based mode where you and up to two additional friends can take on swarms of increasingly powerful enemies and unique objectives. If you played Co-Op Arena from Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3, you're going to feel right at home in Survival. We've built upon and evolved the core gameplay experience with an entirely new level of depth, challenge, and variety. From new enemy types and powerful new bosses to a dedicated progression system and expansive upgradable arsenal, Survival is all about strategy, camaraderie, and skill," the announcement said on the PlayStation Blog.

A maximum of three players will then have to fight their way against 50 waves of enemies across 10 different maps. The attackers will start with their less capable mercenaries and will gradually increase in terms of skills and aggressiveness. There will be heavily armored Brutes, Snipers, and Hunters. To top it off, a boss fight will ensue after every 10 waves. The boss fight will feature the new Pirate Warlords. The players must possess the necessary skill and quick thinking, not to mention that they have to work together in order to survive.

"Uncharted 4: Survival" mode is only not about smoking everybody. Naughty Dog added objectives to make it even more exciting. Gamers will have to defend a pre-defined area, collect treasures within a prescribed time limit or annihilating particular enemies. There are also "active modifiers" like only pistols are allowed, or headshots will only count or even melee attacks can only damage the opponents.

Of course, there will be appropriate rewards for every accomplished objective. There will be in-game currency that can be used to purchase perks like weapons, gears and mystical.

"Uncharted 4: Survival" mode will be available on the PlayStation 4 by mid-December.
