Ahead of this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Naughty Dog has revealed new details about the upcoming "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" game.

The "Uncharted" spin-off featuring Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross will be launched in North America on Aug. 22, Naughty Dog announced Tuesday. Described by the developer as a "true 'Uncharted' game," the stand-alone adventure will retail for CA$49.99 in Canada and $39.99 in the United States. The game will arrive in Europe on Aug. 23, just a day after its American release.

Those who pre-order at participating stores will get a free digital copy of the "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy" game, which launches on the same day. "The Lost Legacy" came out of a project that was initially developed to be an add-on for "Uncharted 4." Players who previously purchased that game's DLC can still get "The Lost Legacy" for free, according to Polygon.

The game will also be available as a digital download for customers who picked up "Uncharted 4" Digital Deluxe Edition, Explorer's Pack, or the Triple Pack. Unfortunately, owners of these items will not be getting any of the previously announced pre-order bonuses.

At the PlayStation Experience (PSX) event last year, Naughty Dog unveiled "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" as the studio's first single-player standalone chapter in the franchise. Set after the events of "Uncharted 4," the game stars Nathan Drake's companions Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. The game has similar narratives to the other "Uncharted" titles because it has a narrative that takes gameplay to a new level with complex characterizations. This time, the story revolves around Chloe's journey across India as she tries to find a Hindu artifact known as the Tusk of Lord Ganesha. The latest cinematic trailer for the game showing Chloe and Nadine's new mission can be viewed here.

Developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" is exclusively available for PlayStation 4.
