Two Eastern Conference clubs aiming to end the preseason in a good note will collide today, Wednesday, when the Washington Wizards pay the Miami Heat a visit at the American Airlines Arena.

The Wizards, after losing their second game of the preseason against the New York Knicks, are on a tear riding a three-game winning streak heading to their matchup against Miami.

In their previous preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks last Saturday, the Wizards played without All-Star point guard John Wall but did enough to secure a 105–101 victory.

Budding guard Bradley Beal led Washington with 18 points, together with two rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

Center Marcin Gortat also had a great game tallying 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one block.

Two former San Antonio Spurs players also shone for Washington against Milwaukee, and these were forward DeJuan Blair and guard Gary Neal.

Blair had a double-double 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Neal scored 14 points and also grabbed three rebounds.

After today's matchup against the Heat, the Wizards still have one more game facing the Toronto Raptors on the road to close this year's preseason campaign.

The Heat, on the other hand, are looking to extend their winning streak to three games when they play against Washington.

Miami struggled early in the preseason but found its groove lately, beating the Houston Rockets and the Atlanta Hawks in its past two preseason outings to have an improved 3–3 record.

In their most recent win against last season's Eastern Conference-leading Hawks (101–92), reserves James Ennis and Gerald Green paced the Heat, dropping 19 points each.

All-Star big man Chris Bosh chipped in 14 points to help Miami, also having three rebounds, two assists, and one block.

The preseason matchup between the Wizards and Heat will take place today, Oct. 21, at 8:00 p.m. EST. To watch via live stream, click here.
