HBO hasn't released a synopsis for episode 8 of Westworld season 2 but all the signs suggest it is going to shed more light on the mysterious Ghost Nation.

The title of the next episode is 'Kiksuya,' which according to Inquisitr , means 'remember' in the Lakota language.

And although HBO hasn't released a synopsis, it has given a few clues about the content of episode 8 in a teaser trailer that is dominated by the Ghost Nation.

As fans of the show will know, the secretive group of hosts are aware of the Maze and seem to also be aware of the outside world, but what fans are still puzzling over is their exact role.

While in season 1 they were savage, in season 2 they have released the people they took captive and haven't been murdering the humans, unlike other hosts.

This has given rise to all kinds of fan theories on Reddit, including one that considers whether they might actually be trying to help them against the increasingly powerful hosts.

It's been hard to know exactly what's going on and connect all the dots, especially with where Ghost Nation fits into the bigger picture, but 'Kiksuya' may be about to make everything much clearer as the show hurtles towards its highly anticipated finale.

The promo shows Ghost Nation leader Akecheta peacefully riding a horse and affectionately greeting Kohana.  But the mood changes when he discovers the scene of a massacre.

"The past was calling me," he says in a voice over. "But before I could understand it, they took everything from me."

The Beyond Westworld blog on Fansided thinks the trailer hints that Akecheta had discovered the secrets of the Valley Beyond and even shared those with Kohana, therefore knowing everything before Dolores.

"In fact, the fact Ghost Nation had access to that secret might be why the Delos team found their corpses on the beach and the recording that showed Dolores gunning them down," Beyond Westworld speculates.

With HBO not bothering much with synopses for Westworld, we'll just have to wait until the episode airs to see what it all means.

But the mystery will surely continue until the long-awaited finale as there are few details for the final few episodes.

According to the HBO schedule, Episode 9 of Westworld Season 2 is titled "Vanishing Point" and the Season 2 finale, Episode 10, is titled "The Passenger," but we know little else beyond that with no promos or synopses out so far.

Westworld Season 2 episode 8 airs on HBO on Sunday, June 10, at 9 p.m. ET.
