The recently held 2016 Blizzcon event held a lot of surprises for fans of Blizzard's games as the company unveiled their different plans for their different IPs. During the event, Blizzard had revealed a number of brand new updates for their long-running massively multiplayer online role-playing (MMORPG) video game, "World of Warcraft."

The company announced two new patches — patch 7.15 and patch 7.2 — both of which will be expanding the world of the game's sixth major expansion, "Legion."

The upcoming patches will apparently be adding a myriad of brand new content and events to the game which are aimed at keeping players engaged. The recently released patch — Patch 7.1 called "Return to Karazhan" — was released back in August and introduced a brand new raid, a new mythic-level dungeon, and a continuation of the game's main storyline.

Patch 7.15 was revealed to be a relatively small update to the game, bringing with it a number of small changes, enhancements, and fixes. Blizzard will likely be increasing the frequency of these smaller patches in order to maintain the integrity of their game and to stabilize their growing player base for "World of Warcraft."

The patch will also enable time walking on all six of Mists of Pandaria's dungeons, which basically allows players to go through them again at a higher difficulty level. Along with the patch, several micro-holiday events are also planned out including a "Volunteer Guard Day," where players can play as city guards for a few hours.

Patch 7.2, on the other hand, is a much larger update that will be called "Tomb of Sargeras." The patch will be revamping the Broken Shore, which will result in a new Armies of Legionfall faction. All of the accompanying tasks involved including creating a base and building reputations are also included.

New Legion Assault events will also be featured, which will replace the regular world quests. The patch will, of course, include a new raid, a continuation of the story, and a five-player dungeon called "Cathedral of Eternal Night."
