The Xbox One Backward Compatibility list now has 153 games. Two more games were announced and added to the growing list of Xbox 360 games that can be played on the Xbox One. The two new games are "Outland" and "Gunstar Heroes."

Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, programming director for Microsoft's Xbox Live, made the usual announcement the other day on his Twitter account. He posted, "Outland" and "Gunstar Heroes" are now available on Xbox One Backward Compatibility."

"Outland" first came out in 2011. It was developed by Housemarque and published by Ubisoft. According to IGN, its official game description is, "An action platformer with a combat/interactivity system based on polarity, Outland focuses on a hero who can switch between light and dark forms, an ability he'll need to exploit in order to destroy monsters and avoid attacks. He'll take damage from opposite-colored bullets but will be impervious to those of the same polarity. He'll also only be able to control objects that match his polarity. By switching between forms, he will be able to solve platforming puzzles and crush enemies in this mysterious new land he finds himself in."

"Gunstar Heroes" was published back in 1997 by SEGA and developed by Treasure. Its game description is, "Easily one of the greatest shooting titles from any generation, Gunstar Heroes set new standards for the genre and helped define the 16-bit generation with its incredible graphics, overwhelming challenge, and intense level of action. Not only did the game provide one of the most adaptable weapon systems around, it also boasted some of the most amazing boss characters from the time period; not to mention a terrific art style and technological brilliance matched by few others."

However, there have been mixed reactions coming from Xbox fans for months now. There are a number Xbox One owners who are hoping that games from the "Call of Duty" series will join the list, specifically "Call of Duty: Black Ops." This particular game was announced almost half a year ago, but it is still in progress.

There is no specific date anymore when Backward Compatible games roll out. The tech giant decided that games will be added by the time they are ready.

There were 14 Xbox 360 games added to the Backward Compatibility list last month.
