The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 is several weeks away, and it is rumored that Microsoft will take this opportunity to unveil their new Xbox video game console. It is said that it will feature new hardware and a new controller.
There are no details about what particular new hardware will be going into the new Xbox One, but a white color redesigned controller is said to be an available option soon, a refreshed look for the monotonous black colored one. This is according to the sources of Paul Thurrott's website.
It was also overheard that an Elite console is also in the works. This may be an update to the Elite Bundle being offered by the company or an entirely a different one, said to be having new hardware components as well. The Elite Bundle contains an upgraded storage hardware, an SSD, which offers a faster loading time for its games, and an enhanced controller that offers great customization level.
Another interesting feature for the rumored Xbox One is the additional interaction it can have on a Windows 10 PC. With an enhanced ecosystem, Microsoft might entice PC gamers to choose their video game console over the PlayStation 4.
The website is known to be a reliable source for Microsoft-related revelations. However, the latest information will not be confirmed until the expo has started, ScreenRant added.
There is a possibility that a built-in microphone will be incorporated into the new controller, aside from small ergonomic changes. This small piece of hardware will benefit players when they need to talk to Cortana, the personal digital assistant, the report continued.
In a previous rumor, a slimmer version of Xbox One is said to be in the works. However, Phil Spencer, Xbox's top boss, immediately shot down the rumor.
E3 2016 will happen on June 14 to 16 and will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
