Console gamers are now quite torn between the two brand new consoles that are going to be released in the coming months. Two of the top console manufacturers — Sony and Microsoft — are vying for the patronage of gamers worldwide, with Sony showing all of their cards when they unveiled their latest generation gaming console, the PlayStation 4 Pro.

Microsoft, on the other hand, has been quite silent about its latest generation console, the Microsoft Xbox Project Scorpio. Not much is known about the console's hardware specs and if it will be as powerful, or more powerful, than Sony's device.

For now, the PlayStation 4 Pro looks to be quite the powerhouse as it sports a brand new "Jaguar" 8-core processor and a 1.84 Teraflop AMD Polaris Radeon graphics engine. The system is focused on running games in 4K resolution, with some games sporting better graphics optimizations to get close to 4K quality.

The Xbox Project Scorpio console is also expected to do much of the same things that the PlayStation 4 Pro is capable of.

Since Microsoft may have more time to tweak and upgrade their gaming system, it's still anyone guess in terms of what it will be offering when it finally comes out. For now, the company has the advantage of having enough time to make their system better.

Meanwhile, the PlayStation 4 Pro is set to be released next week on Thursday, Nov. 10. This means that Sony will be having the upper hand in terms of getting there first, as the release of the gaming system will be just in time for the holiday season.

Microsoft's device will likely be coming out sometime next year, which means that some gamers are probably going to be holding off on buying Sony's system until they get a closer look at what Microsoft will be offering with their Xbox Project Scorpio system.
