It is said that Xiaomi has yet to finish its release run for this year, as speculations suggest that another iteration, the Redmi 4, is coming out soon.

Reports out of China have reportedly outed press renders for a yet-unnamed Xiaomi handset. Supposedly, the new device with code number 2016060 bears similar build and design to the entry-level company lineup, and speculations suggest that this is the Redmi 4.

The press renders also came out with supposed specs and features. Allegedly, the Redmi 4 will feature a 5.0-inch display with full HD resolution, an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset, and at least 3 GB of RAM. There is supposed to be 32 GB of native storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD support. The alleged leaks also point out that the upcoming iteration will feature a 13-MP main camera and a 5-MP selfie snapper. Its debut will showcase an Android 6.0 Marshmallow platform, layered with Xiaomi's own MiUI 8 interface. Other specs and features include a 4,000 mAh battery, an all-metal body, and at least three color variants — gray, gold, and silver. On the leaked press renders, there also seems to be a fingerprint sensor on the back panel of the iteration. This is highly possible since the scanner is already becoming a standard even with entry and mid-level lineup releases.

According to Android Authority, with Xiaomi known to provide competitive price tags for its lineups, the entry-level Redmi series will have budget-friendly prices. For the Redmi 4, speculations suggest that prices may range from upwards of $100, and it is unlikely that the iteration will breach the $200-mark.

Although the supposed leaks did not say a specific debut or target release date, it is expected that the Redmi 4 will come out soon. Supposedly, the iteration is a co-release handset that was set for launch last month. However, Xiaomi only launched the Mi Note 2 just recently.
