Xiaomi's Redmi 4 is not expected to arrive until next year. However, the smartphone community was surprised with a rumor surrounding the phone. It is speculated to be powered by the latest MediaTek Helio X20.

According to the latest reports, Xiaomi's next phone, the Redmi 4, is speculated to run on the deca-core processor. This rumor is based on an image that surfaced recently, a list of devices that will be equipped with the chipset, GSM Arena reported.

However, aside from the processor, nothing much is known about the upcoming phone, but following the company's past releases, it may again utilize an all-metal body and a mid-size display, 5 inches or so.

The Helio X20 is a Tri-cluster CPU architecture that contains 10 processing cores (deca-core), which can deliver a huge computing performance. Multi-tasking will never be a hurdle again. It is also mentioned to have an "unmatched power efficiency." It translates to longer hours of usage before its battery juice runs dry.

"Delivering extreme computing performance with unmatched power efficiency, the new MediaTek Helio X20 / X25 processor is set to revolutionize the smartphone industry and address the growing global demand for flagship mobile devices, as MediaTek describes its newest processor," said the company on its website.

The latest offering from Xiaomi is the Redmi 3, which is still available and comes in three variants. The top model is the Redmi 3 Pro, which is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, and incorporates a fingerprint sensor. The second is the Redmi 3, which contains the same processor but has a lower RAM value and smaller internal storage, 2GB and 16 GB. The third in the series is the entry level Redmi 3s that sports a Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM.  It is also equipped with 16GB of storage space and a fingerprint scanner.

Fans can expect more news, rumors and leaks about the Xiaomi Redmi 4 in the months to come.
