More and more reports are currently claiming that Apple will in fact be holding a massive launch event before the month ends, specifcally on Oct. 27. The event will likely be a venue for the company to launch several new products, which might include the highly awaited 2016 iMac computer. There is, of course, a lot of expectations for the brand new iMac as technology has obviously advanced so much since its predecessor was released.

According to the latest rumor reports, the 2016 iMac will most likely be coming with Intel's latest generation Kaby Lake processor. The top of the line variant would also probably come with a seventh generation Intel Core i7 chip based on the Kaby Lake architecture. There are also reports that have claimed that the 2016 iMac would also be coming with native USB 3.1 support, as well as a DisplayPort 1.2, and a Thunderbolt 3 port.

The processor itself will be a significant upgrade to the overall system's performance and if some rumors are indeed true, an AMD Polaris-based GPU might be paired with it in order to fully provide an unbelievable degree of usability for would-be owners.

The combination would make the device perfect for businesses and professionals as it can be used in a variety of ways for processes that would require a fast performing desktop computer. The rumored hardware for the 2016 iMac is also rumored to be fully VR ready with Apple most likely integrating some VR functionality into the device right out of the box.

Reports have also revealed that it would only make sense for Apple to immediately launch the new iMac seeing as that they had already launched their latest operating system version, the Mac OS Sierra just last month. The 2016 iMac would of course be the perfect device to fully showcase the new OS and its capabilities.
