With still a lot of bugs existing for Android 5.0, a new version should be available anytime now. This was after Google released the latest Android update, the Android 5.1 Lollipop.

It has long been rumored that Android Lollipop 5.1 would be coming out in February and with Google now working on test builds, the update should be available for the Nexus 5, 6, and 9 any time now.

So what does the Android 5.1 Lollipop carry? A popular concern among Android users is that the current version, Android 5.0, has been giving problems especially on the connectivity front.

WiFi and Bluetooth issues will reportedly be resolved with the next update along with more fixes that folks are now experiencing. RAM problems, battery life, and app crashing will reportedly be resolved when a user updates to Android 5.1.

Further things to expect with the Android 5.1 include the return of the Silent mode which was peculiarly removed in Android 5.0. In summary, the latest Android update is said to be more stable and hopefully a majority (if not all) of the issues that 5.0 brought with it will be resolved.

Curiously, some people were expecting a totally new Android OS since this was the trend before. With a big decimal jump in the existing version, it seems that angle is minimal at this point as the Lollipop moniker will stick.

Regardless, it remains to be seen how the current problems would be addressed once the update becomes available. And while the current crop of problems may be finally fixed, here is hoping that new problems do not arise.
