Big things come in small packages, as the first trailer for "Ant-Man and the Wasp" has been released and features his and his new partner's powers, as well as the plot of the upcoming Marvel film sequel.

This time around, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) a.k.a. Ant-Man will no longer be flying (or crawling) solo since he will be joined by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) a.k.a. The Wasp, who happens to be the daughter of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), the original Ant-Man and Lang's mentor. This means she will be getting her own special suit which will let her shrink to atomic levels.

Her powers are similar to Ant-Man's with the exception of flight and the ability to increase in size as opposed to shrinking. This apparently makes Lang quite jealous of Hope since Pym could also have included a flight capability to the Ant-Man suit but did not for some reason. It also appears that Hope will be using an upgraded version of The Wasp suit which originally belonged to her mother, Pym's wife, who was the original Wasp.

This means that the film might play in the parallels between Ant-Man and The Wasps predecessors who also have a romantic connection as was shown at the end of the first "Ant-Man" movie.

Also joining the cast is the fan-favorite Luis (Michael Peña), Lang's fast-talking and criminal-savvy Latino friend whose quirky and likable expositions steal the show. Ant-Man will also be utilizing a lot more of his enlargement powers which he first used in "Captain America: Civil War" where he basically becomes a giant. Coupled with the ability to change sizes at will and abruptly, this should make the superhero more formidable.

The upcoming sequel will also explore the possibility of Janet van Dyne (the original Wasp) being alive since the previous movie revealed her to be stuck in the quantum realm after breaking her shrinking module and rendering her being unable to stop shrinking. More will be found out once "Ant-Man and The Wasp" gets premiered on July 6.
