Charmain Tully (Claire Holt) will be involved in a chilling murder of her fellow officers in what looks like the first of a series of cop killings in the upcoming episode of "Aquarius," TV Guide reports.

Episode 9 of NBC's hit period crime drama will find the female operative as a witness to the shooting of two law enforcers while at lounging at a café. Meanwhile, Hodiak (David Duchovny) and Shafe (Grey Damon) will be involved in a manhunt to find the killer, while protecting Charmain's standing in the department.

Last week, Detective Hodiak had his hands full searching for a missing prostitute linked to Manson (Gethin Anthony). His investigation led him to an old friend, a former hooker-turned-nurse named Martha Kendall (Gillian Alexi.) They ended up sleeping together, and that was how Grace (Michaela McManus) found them when she stopped by his house.

The cult leader, meanwhile, decided that the group needed a "cleanse" of sorts to get back on track. He commanded everyone to overdose by taking two "smilies" (a hallucinogenic drug) each.

Emma (Emma Dumont) had a visit from her father, Ken. The lawyer wanted to distance himself from his daughter to secure his image for the upcoming election. When she questioned him about his relationship with Mason, Ken managed to evade answering. Screenfad believes that Mason and Karn shared an intimate past, hence the noticeable connection. Emma's future, however, remained unclear, as she was last seen fleeing the commune barefooted.

Two tragedies struck at the later part of the episode. Hodiak's old friend Father Mac was found dead inside his church. The priest had previously aired his concern regarding a fellow cleric taking parish money and partaking in illicit activities. Shafe, who was working undercover, also witnessed the brutal murder of a delivery boy by Manson's right hand man, along with Lucille Gladner (Clare Carey).

"Aquarius" airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on NBC.
