The struggling Atlanta Falcons are likely getting the help they need as running back Devonta Freeman is ready to play this Sunday after missing their previous game due to a concussion.

Atlanta (6–5), which is currently riding a four-game losing streak, is set to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5–6) at the Raymond James Stadium this Sunday for Week 13 action.

Both teams belong to the National Football Conference (NFC) North and are aiming to improve their playoff chances with the 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season winding down.

As the Falcons aim to get out of the losing slump, they are expected to have Freeman, who missed last Sunday's 20–10 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings (Week 12) while recovering from a concussion.

Freeman suffered the injury in Week 11's 24–21 setback against the Indianapolis Colts, after receiving a hit from Colts rookie safety Clayton Geathers, according to ESPN.

In ESPN's report, despite Freeman receiving no contact in practice, the running back is excited to return to action when they take on the Bucs.

"For those of us who know Devonta in here, you can imagine the excitement he has," Falcons head coach Dan Quinn stated, also assuring that Freeman is ready to play.

Quinn added, "It jumps off the field and off the tape by how much he loves football. And so we can't wait to get him back out there."

Freeman is an important offensive piece for the Falcons this season and his return may be the spark they need in their final playoff push in the regular season.

In 10 games played this 2015, the 23-year-old running back already bested last season's numbers with 167 carries for 764 yards and a league-leading nine rushing touchdowns.

Overall this season, his rushing and receiving touchdowns has reached a total of 11, which, according to ESPN, is second-best in the NFL, even though he missed their game against Minnesota.
