Barack Obama shares list of his favorite books and songs from 2017

Former United States President Barack Obama just released a list of his favorite songs and books from 2017. Obama's list includes critically acclaimed music artists and authors who distributed something new last year.

Obama released the list on Facebook with the message, "During my presidency, I started a tradition of sharing my reading lists and playlists. It was a nice way to reflect on the works that resonated with me and lift up authors and artists from around the world. With some extra time on my hands this year to catch up, I wanted to share the books and music I enjoyed most."

Former POTUS kicked off his favorite music releases of 2017 with J Balvin and Willy William's "Mi Gente" or "My People" followed by Camila Cabello's hit song, "Havana" featuring Young Thug. Cabello took her excitement and joy on Twitter about Obama's list. "I CANT BELIEVE OBAMA SAID HAVANA WAS ON OF HIS FAVORITE SONGS OF THE YEAR I AM REALLY CRUYING OH MY GOD DON'T LOOKA T ME," she tweeted.

Obama's list also includes some of the best rap songs of 2017 like Kendrick Lamar's "Humble", Jay-Z and Beyonce's "Family Feud," and Chance The Rapper's "First World Problems." Daniel Caesar, Brandi Carlile, Rihanna, Dj Khaled, U2, Harry Styles, SZA, Bruce Springsteen, and more are also included on his list.

For the best books he read in 2017, he enumerated "The Power" by Naomi Alderman, "Grant," by Ron Chernow, "Exit West" by Mohsin Hamid, "A Gentleman in Moscow" by Amor Towles, "Anything Is Possible" by Elizabeth Strout, and more. He also included NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's book titled, "Coach Wooden and Me: Our 50-Year Friendship On and Off the Court."

Many of his fans and supporters commented on his post by thanking him for his service as President and others expressed how much they miss Obama as Commander in Chief.
