It looks like Barcelona's striking trio will be intact in the years to come as the youngest member of the group, Neymar, expressed his desire to stay with the club, with the aim of having his contract extended.

Neymar (14 goals) scored two goals in Saturday's 4–0 La Liga victory over Real Sociedad at Camp Nou, securing him the top spot as the league's best scorer for now.

Following the win, Neymar shared with Catalan TV3, "I still have some years left on my contract. I know my father speaks about my future. We are talking about extending the contract, because that is what I want to do."

Since Neymar joined Barcelona, there are still tax and legal issues regarding his arrival which his father wants to get resolved before his son is signed to a new deal, ESPN FC reported.

But according to the 23-year-old striker, once all those issues are addressed, he will be looking to stay with Blaugrana.

In the game against Real Sociedad, the Brazilian striker netted one goal in the first half as another member of the trio, Luis Suarez, also managed to score a goal.

Neymar scored his second goal in the second half and to complete the dominant performance for Barca, club star Lionel Messi also added a goal in injury time to seal the win.

According to ESPN FC, Saturday's scoring performance was the first time this season that each member of the trio scored in a match.

Because of Neymar's splendid performance versus Real Sociedad, AS reported that Real Madrid's interest in the Brazilian strengthened and club president Florentino Pérez is ready to match any contract Barcelona will put in front of the striker.

But according to Sport (via ESPN FC), Neymar is reportedly set to turn down any offer from Real as his intention of staying with Barcelona remains solid.
