Barcelona transfer news 2015: A.S. Roma's Alessandro Florenzi drawing interest from Barca

A coveted prospect is getting the attention of Barcelona as reports say A.S. Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi is drawing the interest of the club as he can be a potential replacement for the aging Dani Alves.

TalkSports first reported the news, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also interested in Florenzi.

The report added that the 24-year-old midfielder is under contract until 2019 and will not be coming cheap, but Barcelona is ready to place a bid to show their interest in him.

According to reports, Florenzi can feature in multiple positions and has been playing splendidly for A.S. Roma in Series A.

As reported by Football Italia, the Italian shared his thoughts about Barcelona's interest with Corriere dello Sport. Florenzi said, "Barcelona's interest? You have to live day by day, without thinking about tomorrow. I'm enjoying my splendid Roma, after that we'll see."

"Now I'm thinking about winning here but I'd be daft to claim I'm not flattered by Barca's interest. It means I'm doing well and I'm on the right track," he added.

If Florenzi will head to Camp Nou, it is likely that he will be competing for minutes and will take time before he fully replaces the club veteran Alves.

Before the season, there were talks that Alves would be leaving Blaugrana and would play somewhere else.

But the 32-year-old footballer signed a two-year deal back in June which will make him stay with the club until 2017, with the pact having an option for a third year.

Bleacher Report suggested that the possible arrival of Florenzi will surely present a legit competition for Alves, especially in the lineup.

But it is expected that Barcelona will be keeping both players, since it seems unlikely that they will be parting ways with Alves who has been one of the faces of the organization.

Faith is often accompanied by uncertainty, yet it is in stepping forward that we encounter the power of God. The Israelites learned this at the Jordan River, where God performed a miracle only after they demonstrated obedience.
