'Batman: Arkham Knight' DLC news: New maps, challenges, and skin drop coming next week

Fans of "Batman: Arkham Knight" recently had the latest downloadable content (DLC) titled "The Season of Infamy: Most Wanted," but it appears it won't be the only content released this month.

Fans are in for another treat as Rocksteady Studios took to Twitter on Monday to announce a new DLC and skin coming to the game next week.

The game developer also shared the news and explained further about the DLC on Arkham Knight Forums.

Called "Crime Fighter Challenge Pack # 6," or formerly "Community Challenge Pack," the update will arrive on Jan. 19 for the personal computer (PC) version of the game. Those who play the console will receive it a little later on Jan. 26.

The "Crime Fighter Challenge Pack" features six challenge maps taken from "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Batman: Arkham City." It will also have a special game mode called the Predator Mode.

Under the Predator Mode, fans should expect the following maps: Wayne Manor Main Hall, Batcave and Sanatorium, and Medical Facility. For the Combat Mode, the featured maps include Iceberg Lounge, Crime Alley, and Monarch Theatre.

Apart from the new maps and challenges, Rocksteady also announced that the DLC comes with a new free Batman skin. The skin features the Caped Crusader wearing his costume from the "Batman Incorporated" comic books.

According to the Daily Star, this skin was originally available through a downloadable code for "Batman: Arkham Knight" graphic novel owners.

While a new skin will be arriving, it still didn't stop fans from hoping that other skins would be featured in the future updates of the game. One fan replied to Rocksteady's post on Twitter, mentioning about the Earth 2 skin.

Another fan also asked for "Batman the Animated Series" skin to be featured. Nevertheless, Rocksteady has packed some interesting content for all the game supporters.

Meanwhile, the developer also announced a heads up to all "Arkham Knight" players that a patch for the game should arrive before the DLC's official release. This patch should prepare the game for the upcoming content to make sure that everything works smoothly.
