Recently, Infinity Ward — the company behind the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" game — has released the patch notes for its latest update. This certainly gives light to the changes that will be coming for the game's multiplayer mode as well as the "Zombies in Spaceland" map.

According to Game Rant, the game has been quite around for a while now, and as such, it has given Infinity Ward some time to observe the active gaming community, which gave them some good insight as to what needs to be changed in the first-person shooter game.

With this, the game's first major patch after its release will roll out and will make a number of changes to the various aspects of the gameplay experience.

For the multiplayer mode, a few new playlists have been added for the players to explore, like the Hardcore Kill command as well as Hardcore Free for All and Infected.

Aside from that, a few tweaks and bug fixes have been implemented, but the most important change coming to the "Infinite Warfare" game's online multiplayer environment is the balancing of the purportedly overpowered Volk assault rifle.

Once the update is downloaded, players will now find that the Volk rifle is not as effective as it used to be pre-patch. Basically, the gun was nerfed in order to make the game more balanced. The Volk rifle's damage range and hip fire accuracy was reduced while giving it a kick when players aim down the sights using the weapon.

As for the "Zombies in Spaceland" map, the University Herald reports that the game has a new weapon rank upgrade splash when a certain weapon is able to reach a certain rank. Also, the developers were able to fix the game in such a way that gameplay does not end when The Hoff is active in solo mode, which certainly improves the overall gameplay experience.
