Just a few months into the release of "Call of Duty: World War 2," it is finally going to get its first downloadable content (DLC) in less than 24 hours. This "The Resistance" DLC is surely going to be jam-packed given all the hype that has been surrounding it, plus the game's success since its launch. That said, here is what players would need to know.

Before everyone gets excited for the DLC, "The Resistance" will only be available for the PlayStation4 (PS4). That is, at least, for now. Xbox One and PC players will have to wait for a bit longer, although no official release date has been mentioned. PS4 players who have either the Season Pass or have pre-ordered can already start pre-loading the DLC.

There are going to be three new maps: Occupation, Valkyrie, and Anthropoid. Occupation may seem familiar to old players of the series as this is a remake of the "Resistance" map from "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare." On the other hand, both Valkyrie and Anthropoid were inspired by Hitler's Eastern-front headquarters and Operation Anthropoid, respectively.

Another addition to the War Mode will also be added. This time, this new "Operation Intercept" is about saving Resistance fighters that are held hostage and being transported by train. The mission is to save the soldiers, stop the train's communications, and stop the train altogether.

On the other hand, Zombies mode will also be given a new chapter. After the whole Mittelburg situation, players will get news that Doktor Straub is apparently in an island north of Germany. Players will find themselves getting on that island, definitely filled with a lot more zombies.

"The Resistance" DLC1 is available for $14.99 on the PlayStation Store. For those who want to get future DLCs with no hassle, they can opt to get the Season Pass for around $50.
