As promising as the title of the next "Chicago Fire" season 5 episode is — "Nobody Else is Dying Today" — fans are still in for a suspenseful hour of television.

In this installment, it is Casey (Jesse Spencer) who will face grave danger. However, in his eyes, it is the father and daughter caught in a toxic explosion whose lives he should save.

According to the synopsis for "Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 4, Casey was in the middle of doing his Alderman's duties when an acid spill takes place after a forklift perforated a tank with acid in of it.

As per the episode description, this leads to an "extremely hazardous spill." Casey will be compelled to employ "extreme measures" to bring his victims to safety.

Fans can get a look at how Casey plans to make that happen in the upcoming episode's promo, where it dawns on him that nobody will be able to come for them and that it will be on him to keep everyone safe.

This tragedy comes at the worst possible time, with him and Dawson (Monica Raymund) actually becoming a greater couple and a family with Louie, as seen so far in "Chicago Fire" season 5.

Casey has to get out of there alive also for the possibility that a wedding between him and Dawson could happen later this season or in the future.

"We know the fans want to see a wedding for Dawson and Casey. Their chemistry has always been so strong, and it's been fun the last four seasons, pushing them right to the edge and then pulling them apart," executive producer Michael Brandt told TV Guide.

"[But] you can only do that for so long. We understand that, if we want to represent real life and real relationships as much as we can, that this is something that needs to evolve, and it certainly will evolve over the course of this season," he went on to say.

Although there are no promises of a Dawsey wedding for "Chicago Fire" season 5, fans can count on Dawson making it out alive during this dire situation.

"Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 4, "Nobody Else is Dying Today," will air Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
