It was as tight as it can be but in the end, LeBron James' clutch heroics saved the day for the Cleveland Cavaliers as they bagged a 90–88 victory over the Brooklyn Nets Saturday, with the win also keeping them unbeaten at home.

The game was tied at 88 with less than 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter, after Nets forward Joe Johnson made all three free-throws following a foul from Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith.

As the possession shifted to the Cavaliers after Johnson's trip to the charity stripe, James had the ball and with time running out, decided to attack the rim and hoisted a hook shot which went in leaving only a second in the game clock.

It was enough to seal the win for the Cavs who are now 9–0 at the Quicken Loans Arena.

"Obviously, I want the ball in my hands down the stretch. I feel like I can make something happen for not only myself but for our team. I'm happy I was able to come through for us," James said, according to the Associated Press.

Along with James' late game success, he also led Cleveland with 26 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and one steal.

Former All-Star forward Kevin Love also had 26 points that came along with seven rebounds, two assists, and one block.

Other players who stood out for Cleveland were veteran point guard Mo Williams who had 14 points, and center Tristan Thompson who had a double-double 10 points with 11 rebounds.

The Cavaliers are still leading the Eastern Conference with a 13–4 record and will be staying at the Quicken Loans Arena for their next game taking on the Washington Wizards this Tuesday.

Following that matchup, the Cavs will have a two-game road trip to face the New Orleans Pelicans this Friday and James' former team, the Miami Heat, this Saturday.
