'Criminal Minds' season 11 spoilers: BAU to have a new member, one more team member leaving

Season 11 of "Criminal Minds" premieres September 30 on CBS. CBS

Matthew Gray Gubler has just revealed a big spoiler for season 11 of "Criminal Minds." According to the actor, an upcoming episode will see one of the team members leaving BAU for some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Gubler, who is directing the episode featuring the team member's departure, told Zap2It that the one leaving is one of the regulars. With Jennifer Love Hewitt's departure from the show in season 10 and A.J. Cook still on maternity leave, it remains to be seen whether show regular Shemar Moore (Morgan), Thomas Gibson (Hotch), Kirsten Vangsness (Garcia), Joe Mantegna (Rossi) or Gubler himself will exit the show in season 11.

As for the show, Gubler said that he's looking forward to the new season and cannot wait for fans to see what the BAU will be up to.

"We've got some new cast additions. Aisha Tyler is on the show. It's been great so far. We're definitely off to a good start," he said.

Last week, Entertainment Weekly gave an exclusive first look at Tyler's character, Dr. Tara Lewis. In the pictures shared by CBS to the website, Tyler is seen shaking hands with Garcia, while another shows her talking to Hotch at BAU headquarters while having a conversation with someone on the phone.

Tyler, who usually wears her hair in waves on "The Talk," sports a new look in "Criminal Minds." Speaking about her pixie haircut, the actress said that she wanted to look different on the series, compared to how she usually looks on "The Talk."

With her character being a psychologist, viewers can expect Tara to join the rest of the team on the field as they solve the murder of the week.

"It's great because I get to do field work, I get to run around, wear a vest, wear a gun," said the actress to EW.

She said that her character has the skills to learn more about the criminal's mindset and that she will be bringing that knowledge into the field to help catch the bad guys.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 9 p.m. on CBS.
