Dancing with the Stars season 18 cast list announcement March 7 [GMA]: Tim Tebow, Bruce Jenner, Sharon Osbourne among latest rumors

Dancing with the Stars 2014 will be kicking off next month, with the cast announcement slated to take place on Good Morning America on March 4, 2014.

Dancing With the Stars' longtime co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet will not be returning to host season 18 of the hit dancing competition this year. She replaced Samantha Harris in 2010 and had hosted the show since then. She tweeted her surprise at her unexpected firing: "Weird day.. Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS...ME. @Tom_Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season."

The former host told E!Online: "I've seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake."

On Monday morning, GMA confirmed that Burke-Charvet will be replaced by Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews, who had starred as a contestant on season 14. She will be hosting alongside Tom Bergeron, who hosted all previous 17 seasons.

Meanwhile, cast rumors have been swirling in the run-up to the announcement.

Among those who were allegedly asked to join the show are: Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, former Olympian Bruce Jenner, Sharon Osbourne, "The Bachelor" star Juan Pablo Galavis, former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, and more.

2014 Sochi ice dance gold medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White have also expressed that they would "love" to compete on Dancing With the Stars. Former Olympians Kristi Yamaguchi, Shawn Johnson and Apolo Ohno have also appeared on DWTS in previous seasons.

Davis told Us Weekly: "I mean, if we were invited... we would love to do it!"
