iPhone 8 concept image emerges

The device may still be far ahead but a designer already imagined the futuristic iPhone 8.

The latest iPhone 8 concept image was visualized by designer Steel Drake from Kyrgyzstan. It has a combined design and form factor of the iPhone 4 and Xperia handsets, with a rounded design made out of metal.

According to Concept-Phones, the curved body has three layers of metal. These layers of covering make the device sturdier, but they also make the handset bulky. The thick metal casing may hide some of the features of the handset like sensors and projectors for games or security of the device.

Apple works to make its devices thinner as in the case of iPhone 6, thus, it will be a surprise if the company will suddenly go back to making thicker handsets.  However, the thinner profile made the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus brittle with some users complaining that the screen bends or breaks easily.

The latest render also boasts at least a 5-inch 3D screen display with 2K resolution. Under the hood, the concept device is equipped with either Apple's A9 or A9X processor that is 10 or 14 nanometers. The storage has also been increased to 256 GB with other options – 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.

At the back, the imagined handset sports either a 12- or 16-megapixel camera, an improvement to the current 8 MP rear shooter. The backside of the device could be a touchpad. The handset has a battery pack of 2000 mAh.

It is expected that there will be a big jump on the specs and features of iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 release date may happen two or three years from now, either in 2016 or 2017. At this time, other designers as well as rumors are still concocting the iPhone 7 bound for next year.

Meanwhile, Apple is currently concentrating on delivering the supplies for users who bought the new iPhones and iPads. Thus, the company has not commented on the rumors yet.
