'Destiny 2' bugs and issues: 'Three of Coins' and 'Fated Engram' to be fixed early 2018

When popular first-person shooter (FPS) game "Destiny 2" released its first expansion with "Curse of Osiris," things did not go as expected for developer Bungie. Although they have fixed the issues from then, new problems concerning the items Three of Coins and Fated Engram have cropped up. Now, they are promising to address these concerns next year.

Bungie has acknowledged both of these problems. For the Three of Coins specifically, they explained that the item should increase the chances of finding an exotic engram by 50 percent. With such a big boost, players should be able to fins more exotics. As for the Fated Engram, they only mentioned that they will be monitoring it alongside Three of Coins. According to Bungie, changes will be made early 2018. Players will just have to save their shards until then.

It can be recalled that this problem, unlike the previous ones, is not much in gameplay but in the items. There are no problems in the acquisition of Three of Coins or Fated Engram as Xur has appeared in the world again, and he is selling both. The issue is in the fact that the items did not work as anticipated.

Three of Coins was supposed to give players a four-hour buff wherein they should see increased exotic engrams. However, players have noticed that it did not do that, or even anything, leading to suspicions that it was either bugged or not working.

According to Polygon, a subreddit post was made bringing up the issue. Players were able to do an experiment to see the effectiveness of it. Needless to say, although they indeed were able to get exotic engrams, they confirmed that the problem really lies with the Three of Coins.

Fated Engrams, on the other hand, were supposed to give players an exotic item that players do not yet have. This is great considering that players had to pay 97 Legendary Shards for it. However, the item kept giving duplicates of the exotic item they already have.
