'Destiny 2' release date news 2016: Game allegedly confirmed for a PC release

It seems that "Destiny 2" is getting more hyped up as more and more speculations have been pointing to its eventual release. After all, some new purported claims about the game has popped up, saying that the 2017 sequel will also have a PC version.

According to Game Rant, the person behind the most believable rumors for the "Destiny" game is Jason Schreier, who is an editor at Kotaku. As such, he has gained quite a reputation among fans as he is often privvy to insider information regarding the sequel to Bungie's most popular sci-fi shooter franchise. However, his reputation is quite mixed since fans have a general love-hate relationship with him due to his leaks and speculations.

Once the most massive downlodable content (DLC) for "Destiny" — called "Rise of Iron" — was released, it opened the gates for the speculations of the new game becoming more diverse in its platforms, which meant that it could branch out to the PC.

After a while, these rumors were toned down. At least, until recently when a job listing has been posted on Bungie's website for a World Design Tester, a position that needs someone to have an experience in testing out different platforms such as the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The specific mention of the PC has certainly caught the attention of fans, making them think that this is yet another admissible clue to the existence of the PC version of "Destiny 2."

However, according to Game Transfers, it is yet unclear as to whether or not the game will be simultaneously released on all the platforms or if the PC version will become a later addition instead.

Regardless, the game is rumored to be released at the end of 2017 but "Destiny 2" will be officially revealed during the middle of the year. Most likely, it will be the E3 2017 event in Los Angeles, but without confirmation fans can only guess what will happen next year.
