The official PC release of the popular first-person shooter "Destiny 2" is less than a week away. However, developer Bungie is looking to further increase the hype by releasing a launch trailer and announcing when players can begin pre-loading the game.

All of the footage included in the new trailer were captured in-game from the PC version of the title. The game supports 4K resolution and uncapped frame rates, as well as custom key mapping. Players wanting a wider field of view can also use up to three monitors.

Players will also get access to a host of other graphic settings like anti-aliasing, film grain, foliage details, motion blur as well as wind impulse.

Prior to the game's PC launch on Blizzard's Battle.net, players can begin pre-loading the game to make sure they can start enjoying the game as soon as it is launched. The download for the game is considerably large, with 68 GB of required storage space, so pre-loading it before its release would be a good idea.

Pre-loading for the game started on Wednesday. For players who have purchased the game, the install button for the game on their Battle.net clients should now be enabled.

Players who previously installed the beta version of the game will also get an automatic update to include the rest of the game's content.

The addition of "Destiny 2" to Battle.net is notable because it is the very first non-Blizzard game to be offered through the service. The game can be obtained exclusively from this platform, and not available through other service s like Steam.

This may be a sign that Blizzard may be looking to expand its service to cater not just to its own game titles, but to third party games as well.

"Destiny 2" is set to be launched on Oct. 24 at exactly 10 a.m. EDT.
