The follow-up to the highly successful "Digimon Adventure" anime finally gets a release date. To be comprised of a six-part theatrical series, the first episode titled "Reunion" will air on Nov. 21.

Set around 15 years after the events in the original series, the chosen children in the original adventure anime are now all grown up. Main character Taichi is now a high schooler, and his Digimon friend Agumon is still around.

No other details are available on what the six-part movie is all about. However, it seems that the new "Digimon Adventure Tri" will follow closely in the heels of the first two adventure series, since most of the previous developers worked on the new one. Character design is again helmed by Atsuya Uki, while the series script supervisor is Yuuko Kakihara. Keitaro Motonaga also returns as the director for the new six-part film series.

In terms of confirmed cast, almost all of the chosen children will be making a return. However, there is an exciting tidbit for hardcore "Digimon" fans — the main protagonist of the second season might make a comeback.

According to blog site Yaraon and reported by Anime News Network, the Digimon website's meta tags reveal a hidden name included in the list. ANN reports that the source code for the official site includes a name labelled as "Daisuke."

Most of the fans know that Daisuke, or Davis in the English version, is the main character for the second series installment of "Digimon Adventure." Although the upcoming series will have continuity with the original one, observers note that with Daisuke in the series, it might mean bridging the first two series together.

The first episode for the new "Digimon Adventure Tri" will be shown in theaters on Nov. 21. "Reunion" will be the first of a six-part series.
