"Dragon Ball Super" episode 45 is shaping up to be one of the strangest and most exciting episodes of the hit anime series. In this episode, a purple clone of Vegeta will be the main adversary.

Goten and Trunks may already be safe from the Superhuman Water, but a new foe has emerged in the form of Copy Vegeta -- a clone of the Saiyan prince that the powerful criminal Grill created after showering the real Vegeta with a purple sludge aka super water.

In order to get to safety, Goten and Trunks were requested to fight the evil doppelganger. The promo for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 45 teases that they will fuse into Gotenks to get a better chance at beating the purple dude that looks like Vegeta.

The real Vegeta will also assist the kids in fighting his clone, but he might not be a big help since his energy and power are rapidly depleting as his clone continues to exist.

The worst part is the real Vegeta's body seems to be gradually disappearing. In the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 45 promo, the Saiyan Prince's forearm was erased.

From the looks of it, the longer the Copy Vegeta stays, the weaker the real Vegeta gets.

The "Dragon Ball Super" episode 45 promo also shows Goten giving all they have to beat Vegeta's purple evil twin. By the end of the clip, however, Goku steps in and prepares to take on Copy Vegeta himself.

It remains to be seen how all these battles will end in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 45, but it is certainly looking to be another episode filled with action, excitement and fun.

As Gotenks and Goku try to eliminate Copy Vegeta in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 45, it is expected that fans will learn how he came to be in the first place.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 45 airs May 29 on Fuji TV.
