'Fallout 4' mods PS4 release date: Xbox One gets Creation Kit; PlayStation 4 version coming within the month

 Bethesda

The "Fallout 4" mods feature has been on the wish list for quite some time for console players. Now, developer Bethesda has granted their wish, partially. Xbox One players received the official mods tool, called the Creation Kit, just a few days ago, and PlayStation 4 fans will get theirs by the end of the month.

Bethesda recently announced the availability of the mods feature for the Xbox One, and it also said that PlayStation 4 version will be arriving this June.

"Starting today, we are excited to deliver on something we've wanted to do for a very long time – bring Mods to a console audience. With the latest title update for Fallout 4, Xbox One gamers are now able to browse Mods on Bethesda.net and, more importantly, can directly download and play Mods within the game's main menu," the company said.

It added, "Playing 'Fallout 4' on PlayStation 4? Your wait is almost over, too. We anticipate Mods arriving on the PS4 next month."

The company knows the importance of mods to many gamers, which give them the power to create what they want, and how they want, making the game more enjoyable. There are many things that can be created with the mods, and these includes quests, characters, environments, outfits, weapons and several more. Therefore, instead of players looking for a third-party utility program, which can become unstable, Bethesda shared this tool, which is the same tool that was used to create the game. Another great thing is it is totally free.

Forbes reported that the PlayStation 4 Creation Tool is speculated to be made available during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016, which will happen from June 14 to 16 month at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Last year, Bethesda surprised its fans when it released "Fallout Shelter" for mobile devices.

Fans can expect more news within the days to come regarding the Creation Kit mods tool.
