'Final Fantasy 7 Remake' release date: Complete version to be out by 2019?

 Square Enix

Square Enix has long announced that they will release the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" in three separate episodes, and the fans are buzzing around speculations to learn more.

According to CrossMap, new guesses suggest that the said game developers might release the complete bundle version with all updates and episodes around 2018 or 2019. Fans can also hope for an earlier release by 2017, but this would mean that it will be a version available only on the PS4. It might also be released to be playable on the Nintendo NX, but confirmation has yet to be heard from its publisher.

Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of the game, stated that each episode will be a standalone full-scale game rather than smaller pieces of a larger game. While they may be separate parts, each part on its own would be equivalent to the scale of a full "Final Fantasy XIII". Ecumenical News reports that this is similar to what they did with "Final Fantasy XIII," so later segments might just be available as in-game DLC packs.

Also, the official fiscal report by Square Enix states that the remake is scheduled to be released around the third quarter of 2017, according to Game n Guide. The debut might just be in September 2017, following the pattern set by the release of "Final Fantasy XV," which was also released around the same time of the year. This release schedule also affects the "Kingdom Hearts 3" game, which is just as highly anticipated as the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake".

Christian Daily reports that fans are expecting a glimpse of this game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016. "Final Fantasy XV" is also scheduled for September 2016, which might mean that the company will have enough time to hype up the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake". They may also decide to focus instead on the "Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age" title. More details will be available once they provide their announcements at the E3 event in Los Angeles this week.
