"Final Fantasy XV" is nearing its launch this end of November, and Square-Enix has teased further details about the game. This time around, the developers have showcased the two guest characters that will momentarily the party. These turn out to be Cor Leonis and Iris Amicitia.

The two characters were revealed in the latest issue of Japanese magazine, Weekly Jump, with a translation and scans courtesy of Gematsu. The magazine also gives further details regarding the game's mechanics as well as the summon Shiva.

Cor Leonis had been teased ever since E3 2013, back when Square-Enix revealed that "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" had been rebranded as "Final Fantasy XV." However, Cor Leonis is not going to be a permanent member of the team and will only aid the party in specific points in the game.

The character is described as a 42-year old, muscular military man and is often referred to as the "Immortal General." Iris, on the other hand, is the younger sister of Gladiolus, one of the main party members assisting the lead character, Prince Noctis. Cor Leonis fights with a sword while Iris uses her fists and a Moogle toy.

RPG Fan reveals that the issue also details how Ignis, Gladiolus, and Prompto can equip a secondary weapon. They can then switch between their main and secondary weapons during combat. Gladiolus uses shields, Prompto focuses on machinery while Ignis utilizes lances.

It is also revealed that the game will refer to special techniques and skills as Abilities and can be customized in a feature called Ability Calls. Abilities will progress separately from the character's level and can be advanced by using Ability Points or AP. Each Ability Call branches into four different paths, opening the doors for numerous customization options.

"Final Fantasy XV" is slated to be released for Xbox One and PS4 on Nov. 29.
