The highly-anticipated "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie is now under development but there aren't any solid details on how Warner Bros. will creatively approach the horror survival franchise and turn it into a money-spinning flick as well.

There is still no word on the movie's plot, so fans have come up with their own. Some believe that the movie will hark back to the past to show how the killer animatronics ended up haunting their home, which was once a favorite hangout by many, trapping and murdering people in there.

Meanwhile, some believe that sticking to the original narrative is the best way to go. This way, fans will have fun and will be excited as the movie uncovers the mysteries in the building. Others say that watching "Five Nights at Freddy's" in Freddy and the gang's perspective would be something new to see and might just pay off, literally.

The game series follows the haunting exploits of the animatronics that become murderous when darkness descends, with players assuming the role of a security guard finding a way to get out of the place in one piece. The horror franchise was developed by Scott Cawthon, who believes that there is so much cinematic potential in his creations.

"The story really lends itself to being a movie, and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to," Cawthon told The Hollywood Reporter.

Seth Grahame-Smith from KatzSmith Productions, which will produce the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie with Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee, expressed his excitement in working with the developer.

"We're looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie," Grahame-Smith said.
