Holly Holm is slowly getting accustomed to her new life, a new lifestyle filled with fame and fortune. And, apparently, being with the top personalities from all around comes with that, including undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Holm made the revelation when she was on hand to watch the Canelo Alvarez vs. Miguel Cotto tiff last weekend. At the event, Fighthype.com caught up with the reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion and asked her about her time out with the retired American boxer.

"It was awesome," Holm said via the video before calling Mayweather the "GOAT."  "He's the only that's ever been able to do it undefeated," she added.

Of course, she may have been overwhelmed sitting beside Mayweather at the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors game, but those words have now become a big deal for some.

On whether such is on the positive or negative side depends on how people view it, although it does join the long standing debate on who truly is the greatest boxer of all time.

Holm did mention that Mayweather is undefeated, but so was Rocky Marciano who did the trick first. So what makes Mayweather better? Because she was able to meet him in the flesh?

Those words from Holm are bound to be blown out of proportion and perhaps she should have thought of that before saying anything that touches on a sensitive issue which has drawn criticism for some time now.

Mayweather may be undefeated but in the eyes of most, not the greatest of all time. That depends on how one looks at it, seeing how others have batted for other fighters who include, of course, the great Muhammad Ali.

Well, Holm should know a lot about boxing so that makes it even more controversial in a way. Perhaps it would be best to let it be since we are all entitled to our own opinion — including Holm.
