Popular shooter game "Fortnite" has recently dropped another big update. It was supposed to come a bit earlier but nevertheless, the update has been rolled out. A new weapon has been added to its Battle Royale Mode while Save the World is getting its own big additions patterned after the Lunar New Year.

For the Battle Royale mode, the update introduces a new type of explosive called the Impulse Grenade. When used, it explodes just a few moments after being dropped, sending nearby players flying off to a distance. It is considered a blue rarity and can only be found in treasure chests and supply crates. Speaking of which, treasure chests can be found in new thematic shrines for the Lunar New Year.

On that note, Save the World mode is getting new "Dragon" weapons and new heroes. All of that can be seen in a promotional trailer that was also released following the update. Outside the Lunar New Year, the Heartbreaker Crossbow is also now available. The Spring It On event is also now ongoing and it will give players more quests in the following weeks.

On the technical side, improvements have been made to the game for both the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One. Both now have dynamic resolutions, in which the resolution will be reduced when necessary, and temporal upsampling. Those with Xbox One X will be able to play on full 4K. PS4 players, on the other hand, will no longer have trouble downloading future updates.

Lastly, no updates come without its balances and adjustments. As many have already foreseen, the submachine gun (SMG) will be removed in the game temporarily although it is not sure when it will come back. Crossbows, minigun, Chug Jug and some others will also be harder to find. Some game sounds have been fixed as well including the crossbow interaction and the sound of players running on different surfaces.

Players can already get all this and the whole update. Those who want to read more specifics on every change made can do so by heading to the Bungie page.
