'Frozen 2' storyline and plot rumors: Anna to get superpowers?

Queen Anna and Princess Elsa Disney

Now that Disney has confirmed that there will indeed be a sequel to "Frozen," there has been a lot of speculations regarding what the next story could be about.

Though it has been said that "Frozen 2" will focus mainly on Elsa, there have been talks that the sequel could see Anna with a power of her own. Rumors are suggesting that since Elsa has power over ice and winter, Anna could possibly wield power over fire and summer.

To answer this rumor, director Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee gave their own insight regarding Anna's rumored power.

In an interview with HitFix, Buck said, "Her superpower is love. That's Anna's superpower." Lee even added, "You know, like a mama bear can raise a car off their kid with their super strength, love is very powerful."

Though nothing has been confirmed yet whether Anna would have a power of her own or not, fans are crossing their fingers that "Frozen 2" will give her something more than just love, for added excitement.

There's also rumors saying that Anna might steal her sister's power.

According to Movie News Guide, the relationship of the sisters could bring about an accident but would still end with a happy ending which brings a strong moral lesson.

Another rumor that has been making rounds online is that the next movie will focus more on where Elsa power really comes from.

Movie Pilot suggests that this could be something that "Frozen 2" can answer together with more details about the magic behind the movie. The site also proposes that the movie could use more Scandinavian flavor in it, particularly with more Nordic fairy folk, since trolls where already included in the movie which is an integral part of Nordic and Icelandic culture.

Whatever story the next "Frozen 2" movie will tell, fans are hoping that it can surpass the success of the previous one; with new characters to love and a new theme song to sing with.
