The midseason premiere of "Girl Meets World" season 2 is just around the corner. The last two episodes of the season titled "Girl meets STEM" and "Girl meets Money" will air on Jan. 8 and Jan. 12, respectively. After that, fans will experience months of drought as the cast of "Girl Meets World" won't be returning until spring.

That's right. Season 3 of "Girl Meets World" won't start until spring of this year, which means fans will have more time to think about the possibility of Lucaya or Rucas.

The third season of the hit Disney sitcom will reportedly tackle more mature topics, and that already includes love. A love triangle among friends Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lucas (Peyton Meyer) have been teased throughout the first two seasons, but the writers of the series has never resolved the issue.

Rumors have spread that season 3 will finally put an end to the love triangle and find out who Lucas will end up with, but the show's writers beg to differ.

The "Girl Meets World" writers' Twitter page has teased fans about the love triangle not seeing a resolution in the immediate future. One post even says "If you know us, you know we'll do much more than a triangle." Much more than a triangle? Will there be other parties involved in season 3? A love square, perhaps?

However, an even more interesting question would be: How will they resolve the issue without risking their friendship?

The show's writers sure know how to keep fans satisfied and on edge at the same time. They've also revealed a few episode titles in season 3, which are: "Girl Meets High School," "Girl Meets Permanent Record," "Girl Meets Jexica," "Girl Meets She Don't Like Me," "Girl Meets Triangle," "Girl Meets Upstate" and "Girl Meets Ski Lodge."

Judging by the episode titles, it seems like Riley and her friends are going to a lot of places in season 3 and will be dealing with a ton of problems.

For now, though, fans will have to enjoy the rest of season 2. "Girl Meets STEM" will see Riley embracing the idea of women in different professions, including mathematicians, engineers and scientists. "Girl Meets Money" will show Riley learning how to deal with her money.

"Girl Meets World" season 3 will start production this month.
