Golden State Warriors rumors 2015: Steve Kerr starts conditioning self with added workload

Steve Kerr has yet to coach this season and to date, there is no official word on when last year's National Basketball Association (NBA) champion coach will be taking over from interim head coach Luke Walton.

Not that the Warriors are in trouble, but the team just lack a certain aura with Kerr not calling the shots.

Kerr has been forced to sit out the games after complication arose from two offseason back surgeries. But according to ESPN, Kerr could take a significant step toward that, with reports he will be adding more workload on his and be more active in team practices.

General manager Bob Myers bares that Kerr will be more vocal and active on the practice floor in the coming weeks and such should be something that can gauge if he is ready or not to take on the rigors of NBA coaching.

Although that is a good development, it should be noted that such is not an indication that he will be returning soon. It is technically a way to try and get him back into the groove of coaching, which could happen only after NBA All-Star weekend this February per previous reports from CBS Sports last month.

Regardless, the Warriors have been doing fine under Walton's watch. After starting off the season with 24 wins, the Warriors came back tumbling down to earth against the Milwaukee Bucks.

But the setback is seen more of as something that makes the team more lethal since it exposes problems (if any) and shows cases where the team needs to adjust in case a bad night comes along.

It begs to ask the question on how the team would perform once Kerr is back in action. Better yet, would bringing back Kerr late in the season be good or bad for the Warriors?
