Nexus 6 smartphone starts shipping from Google Play Store

Google Play Store started shipping the Nexus 6 handset to buyers who successfully placed an order in the Google Play Store when pre-order opened.

According to Android Police, buyers started receiving shipping notifications confirming that the devices are on their way and they will receive a surprise on their doorstep soon. It is expected that the device will arrive on time and more orders will come next week and all orders will be filled later this month or next month.

Google posted an update in its web site and claimed that it has immediate plans in restocking the handset. In a statement, the company it will try to make more Nexus 6 units to be available for purchase every Wednesday, but the time as to when the next units will be listed in the website is still unconfirmed. Thus, interested buyers should check the web site every Wednesday.

"We are getting more Nexus 6 devices in stock as soon as possible. To make things simpler for you, we will work to make more devices available each Wednesday and encourage you to visit the site at that time," the post reads.

It was previously reported that Google Play Store and Motorola are experiencing shortages when it comes to the supply of Nexus 6 smartphones.

In Google Play Store, the unlocked version of the device is available for $649.99 for the 32 GB, while the 64GB variant costs $699.99.  AT&T and Sprint also offer the Nexus 6 smartphone at much flexible rates and monthly subscription fees. The carriers offer the Nexus 6 with no upfront price.

The Nexus 6 boasts a 6-inch screen display with Quad HD (1440 x 2560) resolution and 493 ppi, quad-core 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 SoC, Adreno 420 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB / 64 GB internal storage variants, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, 13 MP rear camera, and 3220 mAh battery.
