'Grand Theft Auto 6' release date news, updates: Game's release date still unconfirmed; financial problems allegedly causing delays

For quite some time now, rumors of a sequel to the "Grand Theft Auto" franchsie has been circulating around the internet. As such, there are a lot of speculations that the development of "Grand Theft Auto 6" is being delayed due to various reasons.

According to Game N Guide, fans have been doing their best to wait patiently for updates to the new "Grand Theft Auto 6" game, but it seems that its developer — Rockstar Games — is being complacent and thus putting the fans' loyalty and patience to the test.

While the fact remains that a "Grand Theft Auto 6" game has been confirmed, the game developer also gave a disclaimer that their attention for the moment is on "Grand Theft Auto 5" and that they want fans to do the same.

One possible reason behind the delay is that the much-awaited game will have a multi-million budget but Rockstar Games is ill-equipped to handle it. After all, the same article reports that the "Grand Theft Auto 5" game had a price tag of $265 million for its development.

As such, with rumors flying around that the "Grand Theft Auto VI" game will support both VR and AR, the budget for the upcoming game could spike up even more.

Regardless, fans are still hyped up and demanding that Rockstar release the game soon, despite the company's silence on the matter. Thankfully, its air of mystery is still maintained, but fans are certainly trying hard to piece together the puzzle and learn more about "Grand Theft Auto 6's" release date as well as its possible features.

However, according to the Parent Herald, once the "Grand Theft Auto 6" game is released, Take-Two Interactive — Rockstar Games's parent company — expects that it will continue the financial uptrend it has enjoyed for the past years for their game titles. Time can tell whether or not the streak will continue, and as such fans still have no choice but to wait and hope.
